The web is a great place to fined information but if you are new to surfing it can take some time to find the information you want, below are sites I have visited with my comments.

The web site has information on a range of perennial plants, including 85 hardy Geranium varieties. The site is clear and simple to use and is sure to be of interest for lovers of herbaceous plants.

http://www.overthegardengate.net/default.asp An environmentally friendly, interactive UK gardening cyber-community with a border for everyone. Forum and Chat Room, Picture Album (add your own!), Gardening and wildlife information and archives, links and much more

http://www.william-sinclair.co.uk Lots of very good information to be found on this easy to use site. Sinclair are suppliers of a wide range of gardening products for the professional and amateur gardener.

It grows a wide range of plants and has its own plant search facility to help you make plant selections. You can type in various requirements and from their database of 1500 plants it will provide you with a descriptive list of suitable plants.

http://www.reallywildflowers.co.uk Find details here on indigenenous plants, lots of helpful information. The site contains a picture gallery but unfortunately it is slow to download.

http://www.e-garden.co.uk this on-line gardening company has signaled its intent to become a major internet player. It is a very well laid out site that is full of content and easy to navigate. It is developing an image library of gardens and garden plants over the coming months. Amateur Gardening have rated it the best gardening web site, while Internet Magazine have rate it a top garden site.

Lots to look at on this easy to use site, although its trying to sell sundries and plants ideas for your garden are here to be found. The best section is the magazine page which lists plants of the month, gardens to visit garden know how and lots more.

http://www.botany.com This is the Encyclopaedia Britannica of plant information. It contains details of every type of plant along with useful links that takes you to gardens and other relevant sites. A site you must visit if you are looking for plant information.

All their products are made by hand on site, they are award winning exhibitors of Chelsea Flower Show and there new web site displays the range of products they have for sale.

You can take a virtual tour of Uri Gellers garden in in Berkshire or post messages for other gardeners to see. Its name does not give credit to the wealth of information you will find on this site.

http://www.gardenguides.com Excellent tips can be found here such as what you should be planting if your garden is in the shade. Fact sheets are available on many types of plants, a handy herb guide gives you cultivation information.

http://www.gardenforum.co.uk is a site for those who work in the garden industry. Its a place to gather information and exchange views as well as find a new job.

http://www.gardening-tools-direct.co.uk This site opened in August 2003, and if you are looking for tools or garden machinery pay this site a visit, you may find you can save some money, or at least get some idea of products available.

They specialise in the growing and breeding of Hellebores, Hardy Cyclamen and Primulas, The site is worth a look at if you are interested in these plants and there is plenty of other information to gather from this site.
